Na de prima overwinning in het verre zuiden van vorige week, was het vertrouwen volop aanwezig. Het was zondag prachtig weer, de lijn begon langzaam vol te stromen en gehuld in de nieuwe trainingspakken waren de omstandigheden perfect.

De eerste 20 minuten verliepen dan ook voortvarend: we hadden 80% balbezit en speelden grotendeels op hun helft. We speelden ons spel en dit resulteerde in 4 strafcorners, een handvol kansen en een helaas (misschien onterecht) afgekeurd doelpunt van Volt (Roel van Delft). Totaal tegen de verwachting in kwamen we op een 0-1 achterstand doordat Horst hun enige strafcorner van de eerste helft erin werkte.

De tweede helft gingen we er weer vol tegenaan om de achterstand om te buigen in een voorsprong. Nadat we de eerste 10 minuten weer op hun helft aan het hockeyen waren, viel er uit de tweede strafcorner van Horst de 0-2. Een ongelukkig moment. We herpakten ons echter door 5 minuten daarna via Tim de 1-2 binnen te slaan, ook uit een strafcorner. Een slotakkoord volgde: we speelden volle druk en kregen weer een aantal kansen en nog 4 corners. Efficiënt waren we helaas niet. Dit kan wel gezegd worden van Horst, die weer 5 minuten na de 1-2 hun derde treffer maakten uit een counter. Een gele kaart van Horst 15 minuten voor tijd, zorgde niet voor de aansluitingstreffer van onze kant. Het publiek werd nog wel getrakteerd op een hilarisch moment, toen Jasper over scheidsrechter Berry heen viel en wel heel boos achter zich keek in de veronderstelling dat Horst hem een pootje had gehaakt.

Een leerzame wedstrijd was het zondag! Door de nederlaag weten we dat we efficiënter om moeten gaan met onze kansen en de koppies leeg moeten maken voor aankomende zondag. Aan motivatie geen gebrek, nu de uitwerking nog! Op naar Concordia!

After the disappointing start to the competition last week Heren 1 were eager for a good result in todays game against new comers in our division Dreunen.The team met at the club at 11.45 and there we proceded on our game plan and evaluation of lasts weeks game.Juul gave on to all the players there plus and min points and everyone was clear what was asked from them.

On a lovely sunny sunday we hit the road to Dreunen one hour later we arrive at our destination and with a little bit of a walk we were at the club.We then started our warming up and there was a different feel in the team relaxed and a lot of humor, raggys knee needed attention and of course the lads were eager to help putting plasters on him.

The game started with a fast tempo and Dreunen were looking for a fast goal but horst defence were holding them at bay.Dreunens pressure early on in the game scored them corners but horst was able to keep them out.Horst pushed on and with a good run down the left side of the field helpt Tim to score a corner.The corner was taken and Trills lightning reaction fell off the keeper and luuk stepped in to finish it off.A positive start to the match where horst grabbed the bull by its horns and started to dominate the game by contolling the tempo and passing the ball around frustrating dreunens fowards and midfield players but horst playing it cool and advanced on the goal were Luuk with a good attacking run over the back line found harm luring in the goal to put horst 2-0 up.The heat was playing a major factor with both teams feeling the pressure but horst was able to keep Dreunen at a arms lenght where Dreunen tried to power there way through to no avail horst was sharp and with that the whistle blew for half time.

Horst retired to the changing room where juul gave further instructions and a positive and welcome feeling fell over the team knowing that we were doing well and with the heat being a factor to time our attacks and try to get more corners.Koen started the second half and headed up the attack with per.Dreunen now eager to score push more into horst half and were able to pinch a corner from this there were able to score 2~1.

Horst did not let up and with determination and power started putting pressure on the defence of dreunen with Tim,Nick,Jorin all with chances on goal but the ball just would not fall into the goal with 20 minutes gone in the second half horst were able to pinch a corner from the good work from Tim. Koen stepped up to the plate and was able to put the ball away from the stick of the keeper 3~1.The last minutes of the game were played out well with trill using his new found weapon of lobbing the ball over which worked a treat as Dreunen putting pressure on our defence.With the sun high in the sky the the whistle blew and horst has it first 3 points of the new season and done it in good fashion.As always the beer tastes of heaven and with good hospitality from Dreunen which layed on food for the team we enjoyed our victory.

Now the fun part with smiles of joy we stepped into the cars and made our way home\\\'\\\'well thats what we thought\\\'\\\'
straight into a traffic jam we did 5km in one hour our joy was short lived but eventually we got home some 2 hours later and some 4 hours later.Later some of the team headed into Horst to enjoy the kermis and we did.
